Why I Use Pepper Spray?

In an attempt to stay healthy I have taken my dog, Pepper, on a daily 3 mile walk. We have accomplished this routine for about 8 years. You can imagine my dismay at finding Pepper was going lame with arthritis. She was my protection. I felt very secure with her walking by my side. Even though we live in what should be a "safe" neighborhood, there have still been incidents with a man exposing himself to children. We have also had a problem with dog attacks in our city.

This made me wonder what I would do if a man approached me? No man would do this with Pepper by my side. That is when I considered carrying Pepper Spray. I had to trade one "Pepper" for another. It was worth every penny not to feel ill at ease as I walked.

Pepper knows and gets excited when I put on my walking shoes even though he cannot go for a walk any more. Even so, I still carry my Pepper Spray. Should another dog approach me menacingly I can get rid of him fast.

Any woman that walks or jogs, even if you have your own "Pepper" dog; should consider carrying Pepper Spray.

I discovered that our new puppy "Trio" had expensive taste. He chewed off the hands and feet of a collectable doll. My little girl Leah was in tears fearing the same fate could befall some other prized possession.

I was struck with the idea that since my pepper spray needed to be tested periodically, I would put some on the doll. After a sniff "Trio" learned a valuable lesson, "dolls don't taste good."

We found squarrels were chewing on our deck. Squarrels do not like to chew on wood with Pepper Spray on it. Pepper Spray does not taste good.

Hey, got my order today, you guys are fast!!! Almost needed it this morning. Had to go to County Square on Church Street in Greenville . Put Tyler in his seat and was about to open my car door when this lady comes strolling across the parking lot and hollered "Hey sweetie, can I borrow a dollar?" I looked at her and said in a gruff voice "I aint got no money". She mumbled something and walked off. Luckily she didn't get too close. Thanks for my order, I got one spray for me and one for my Mom. And the stickers are for the doors and windows at the house. Hopefully, they will be a deterrant and it gives me more peace of mind. My husband and I have always went above and beyond the call of duty in keeping our children informed about being aware of their surrounds and taking safety precautions, and not just strangers. All my children have been taught not only awareness but also self defense.
Just recently my 13 year old daughter mentioned that she had on numerous occasions noticed 'the same creepy guy' hanging out around a few of the places her and her friends were! Alarms went off in my head when I questioned her and she said she had never seen him before until this last week, where she and her friends caught sight of him 3 Times! Let me tell you, if I wasn't adament about 'awareness' and 'keeping in a group' and 'staying indoors at night or walking with a crowd if out at night' I tripled my efforts in reminding all my children about the dangers! I have 5 children, 15, 14, 13, 7 & 5, and 2 of the teenagers are girls! I have taught my sons the same as my daughters, but I have to admit I am more emphatic with the girls. My husband and I just finished discussing the need for the older children not only to have emergency cell phones, but also 'Pepper Spray!'" The next email was
